- In order to strengthen the SH/SS network and to create a stronger platform for contributing to Universal Health Coverage in Bangladesh, the Surjer Hashi/Smiling Sun Healthcare Company is being established and registered in Bangladesh as a company limited by guarantee (a not-for-profit company). NHSDP, under guidance from USAID, is providing technical and managerial support to establish and operationalize the Company as a consolidated independent platform to own and operate the Surjer Hashi brand and network.
- Pathfinder International is seeking to recruit an HR Manager for the newly established Surjer Hashi/Smiling Sun Healthcare Company.
- Position Purpose:
- Under the leadership and supervision of the Managing Director, the HR Manager will develop and implement HR policies; ensure personnel recruitment and retention; and ensure staff productivity and performance management for both the SH/SS Company and the SH Network.
Job Description / Responsibility
- Develop, execute and update the HR policies of the SH/SS Company as well as its franchisees
- Ensure effective development and implementation of policies and procedures for employee hiring and training; employee performance review; appropriate remuneration and benefit packages; staff retention strategies; staff productivity strategies; and professional growth and development plans
- Ensure setting up and maintaining proper and complete HR files in accordance with local laws and any other relevant standards and/or donor requirements
- Provide advice and counsel to staff on personal issues related to the workplace
- In collaboration with finance staff, ensure timely and accurate time reporting and payroll disbursement
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws

- 5 years of HR management experience
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to support large teams including staff at all levels
- Ability to work well with colleagues from diverse backgrounds; to communicate effectively; and to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English as well as Bangla
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Availability to travel all over Bangladesh frequently as required
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous relevant experience in donor funded program
